According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 5 million Americans are effected. That number doubles every five years. According to The National Institute on Aging, music can not only be a pleasant link to the past, but a nourishing connection to the present.
I perform classic country, along with folk, bluegrass, jazz, and gospel. I can usually work within your budget (It’s not just about money). Please contact me using this form
I have been a musician for over 50 years. It was an honor to tour with the USO during the Vietnam era. I have performed in numerous settings including military hospitals and battle zones. I also did a few shows with the late great Bob Hope during my own tour of duty as an Entertainment Specialist in the US Army. If you happen to have a Facebook account, here is a link to a recent video someone filmed at a fundraiser. You may also wish to listen to a song I wrote and recorded, entitled “Brother Billy” here.
I understand the need for professional senior entertainment*. I have always enjoyed playing at senior living homes, festivals, and private parties. Here’s what the Program Director at Willow Springs Alzheimer’s Special Care Center had to say…
“We at Willow Springs are fortunate to have many good performers. George is definitely one of the best. He engages with our residents in a special way. Each lady thinks that the songs are just for her. He has a varied repertoire and is able to please everyone. There is no-one that I can more heartily recommend than George.”
