Meet Chef Daniella!

My wife and I stopped by the local farmer’s market next to city hall in Redding this morning, and are we glad we did! There were the regulars with their shade EZ ups loaded with organic local produce, as well as the tamale, bread, pie, crafts and other fine vendors. But the best discovery for us was a totally lovely person named Chef Daniella Malfitano. Chef Daniella performed a world class cooking demonstration right there in the parking lot. Her obvious love for natural local foods and how to prepare them came across in a unique way that can only be described as charismatic. Her dad was there with his camera to support her. He did a funny little food demo by popping a whole fig in his mouth as his gorgeous daughter continued talking, chopping, cooking, and explaining how to use the best local products in a delicious way.

We so much enjoyed our time with Chef Daniella, and look forward to tuning in to her upcoming TV show, sheduled to air on KIXE (Channel 9) at 9AM on Saturday, Sept 29th. That’s 9 at 9 on the 29th. I just want to encourage you to get to know this great new TV cooking personality. If I am right about this (and I think I am) you will be seeing a lot more of Chef Daniella! The program is titled “Delicious Discoveries” and for PBS, Chef Daniella may turn out to be the best discovery of all!

    Dear Mr. Ireton,
I want to take a moment to say thank you for such a heartfelt post about Daniella’s visit to Redding today.
It is because of good people like you, that she will continue to grow and nurture her passion for Food, Culture and People. We both enjoyed today very much.
We have been out on location shooting the program for the better part of this year, and it is events like today when we get to meet the great people of the North State that we really get a chance to connect.
Again Sir, On behalf of Daniella and my entire production staff, I thank you for your kind words.
Stay well and stay tuned in.
    Regards,
    Vince Malfitano
